So tell me, how do you like your strap?
Watch Steward straps can be configured in different ways with different elastic materials and different hardware! Let's look at the options.

Let's talk strap configurations.
"Original Series"
This is the "Original" configuration of The Watch Steward strap. It came from a desire to have a strap that was comfortably secure to your wrist and allowed the watch to sit directly on your wrist. Let's face it, modern watches (especially dive watches) are big and who needs to have 1 or 2 layers of fabric between your wrist and watch head? Not me. That's why the Original Series configuration is my personal favorite. Give me a good old Seiko SKX009, or a 6309-7040, on an Original Series TDM strap and I'm a happy fella with a comfortable watch. What's that you say? SKXs are too bulky? Not on The Watch Steward straps. Original Series straps do not work on watches with fixed lugs with non-removable spring bars.

"Minimalist Series"
What?!? The same wrist hugging micro adjustable comfort as the "Original Series" straps with less material?!? Yep. Still focusing on pure wrist hugging comfort, the "Minimalist Series" straps are not meant as a replacement to the "Original Series" straps, but simply as an addition to the lineup! I consider the Minimalist Series a simplified version of the Original Series. So which is better? Minimalist or Original? Well, have you ever heard of the Golden Ratio? It's the concept that two quantities (watch and strap in this case) are in the "Golden Ratio" if their ratio is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities. Wait... what? To me it's like this, larger watches pair better with Original Series straps and smaller watches pair better with Minimalist Series straps. Now keep in mind this is only my personal opinion. Get one for yourself, see what you think and let me know! Minimalist Series straps do not work on watches with fixed lugs with non-removable spring bars.
"G Series"
We're pretty excited about the newest addition to the line-up... the G SERIES!! This strap provides the same micro-adjustable wrist hugging comfort with unmatched buckle security! This configuration works with fixed lug watches!! Simply slip off the custom designed G Hook, slide the strap through the watch, and reattach the hardware! Simple as that. We're predicting that this series will soon be the number one seller!

"Single Pass"
Just as the name suggests, a single layer or material passes between your wrist and the watch head. It's the more traditional configuration of elastic strap. If you're worried about spring bar failure, this is your strap. Single Pass straps do not work on watches with fixed lugs (non-removable spring bars) or watches with sensors (smart watches) that must sit directly on your wrist.

Next up, material.
Nylon, Poly, TDM... oh my! How do I decide? It's really a matter of personal preference.
Nylon - we're talking military grade elastic webbing that is custom made for The Watch Steward. It is the most structured with the least amount of stretch. It works well in all configurations (Original, Minimalist, G-Series, or Single Pass) and can handle the biggest heaviest watch in your collection. Nylon is also the best choice for aquatic activity, salt water or fresh.
Poly - made from 1.5mm thick woven Polyester. They are soft, yet structured enough hold their shape and work well in all configurations (Original, Minimalist, G-Series, or Single Pass).
TDM - So how does it compare with the Nylon or Poly straps? It falls somewhere in the middle. The TDM material is not as structured as Nylon, but not as pliable as Poly. It has more stretch than Nylon, but less than the Poly. It's softer to the touch than Nylon, but not as soft as the Poly. See what I mean? They too work well in all configurations (Original, Minimalist, G-Series, or Single Pass).

Lastly, hardware!
Watch Steward straps feature custom made 316 Stainless Steel hardware that is available in tumbled finish or black oxide coated! And can be had with or without the STEWARD logo.
